Excited About Our New Assignment
My husband and I just got an assignment in Nairobi. Well I guess that my husband received the assignment and I get to tag along. His company has asked him if he will go and start a branch of their company in that city. We have been waiting for the opportunity to do an international assignment from his company. I always thought that we would go somewhere in Europe and was very surprised that they asked us to go to Africa. I thought Europe sounded alright, but was not very interested in living there. When I heard that we were going to Nairobi I almost fainted. It is better than I could ever have imagined. After we get settled in my husband promised that we would go on a Kenya Safari. I hope that that will not be the only one we are able to take while we are living in that beautiful country.
The Dream of a Lifetime!
When you tell people that you are a hunter they get this idea in their heads that you spend your entire life out there waiting to shoot Bambis mother or something. The truth of the matter is we spend more money and time then most folks out there in the great wonder of the outdoors. Our money goes to support the national parks and wildlife conservation. And we spend a lot more time out there then most folks ever will in their lifetime. As for me, I’ve always wanted to try one of the Uganda Safaris. Uganda is one of the few places in Africa to keep its wildlife pristine and free from the influence of man. You can see so much there that our distant ancestors might have seen when they first left the savanna. So when the chance came to finally purchase a once in a lifetime safari came up I jumped at the chance.
Luxurious Times in Sao Paulo
Being that our parents both passed away several years ago, I decided that a sibling vacation would be a great way for us to all get together. I’m the oldest so I planned a trip that I thought would appeal to myself as well as my younger sisters. We all have been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit even though we are only in our late twenties. However, none of us have been to Brazil. I had heard that Brazil has amazing weather, beaches and girls, of course. I planned a two week trip where we stayed one week in Sao Paulo and the next week in Rio. I found this luxury Sao Paulo house in a great neighborhood. It was more of an apartment but still very nice.
The place came well furnished, and was luxurious and spacious enough for the three of us. Since it was on my dime, I took the big room and let my sisters share the other one (you know how things go). It even had a fully equipped kitchen so we could buy from the local markets and eat in if we wanted. Turns out, we discovered so many great restaurants around Sao Paulo that we didn´t eat in much. So far Sao Paulo has been great. We really enjoyed our luxury Sao Paulo house and the weather and people have been great. This city is even bigger than I thought and our family bonding time has been great. I hope Rio is as great as Sao Paulo has been.
Celebrating My Culture!
I am from South America and I wanted to show my girlfriend my homeland. That is why I booked her a trip to see all the South America ski resorts we have available. She has always thought that it was hot and dry in South America, but I wanted to end her prejudice and show her some real South American fun. She said she did not think that it snowed in South America, and I said that is a common thought. I told her that some parts of my continent are more beautiful than North America.
