Google adsense is an great advertising program that can help you earn lots of money from advertising, if used the right way. Google adsense is a powerfull, intelligent and effectiv tool, it can even analyze your website content and from that create targeted advertising themes.

Lets say you got a website about dogs and dog training, then you can place an ad banner at the top of your page, or where ever you thing it fits best with your design. You can even costumize colors and text to fit your design best possible. Now google adsense may see your site and analyze it thinking okay, its about dogs, so we find some advertisment about dog food, or dog toys. At last just drive some traffic to your website, and then hope for some clicks, because its the clicks you get paid for.
One other thing I hear very often is, people being confused about why 1 click on your ads can give you 5$ and another click you only get 0.20 cents per click. I would like to explain this for those who dont know about it. Some keywords are worth more then others, depending on how popular the keyword is, lets say keywords like dogs, dog food etc. well my guess is this won’t get you as much money then pamela anderson.
Note: yes I know it sound easy, just get some traffic to your site, but I will recomment you to do some reading about search engine optimization also called SEO, and other traffic source ways to get some visitors. Also keep in mind that very few people can make a living just by making a website and get paid by adsense. I see google adsense as an extra income bonus, just try grabbing your calculator at calculate how many visitors you need every day and how few of them will click your ads, then estimate your adsense income from that. Not much but still better than nothing.

A question even more asked, could be: What is better to use Adsense on, a blog or a website?
But, let’s first talk about more fundamental things, such as: What is a good website in general?
? How do we choose a theme?
? Will the theme of my website attract many visitors(traffic)?
? How do I give value to the visitor?
? Am I passionate about the topic of my website?
? Will Google accept or decline my website?
? Do I put Adsense ads on it from the first day?
Maybe these questions are not written in the good order, but we have to take them in consideration before we go ahead and put some crappy website on the net, with nothing useful on it. We even ask ourselves, why we are not succeeding to make revenue from Adsense ads.
So, first of all we have to determine what theme we will choose for our website or blog. The next question pops up and says:
How do we choose a theme?
To make things easier for us we will choose a theme that we are interested in or even passionate about. That way we will not easily fall in a state of procrastination.
Will the theme of my website attract many visitors?
To be able to know that, we will do a search in the search-engines typing our theme within quotes. The number of competing websites will tell us that it will either be easy or difficult to rank for the main ‘keywords’ of our website. However choosing long-tail keywords(or multiple keyword phrases) will bring up less competing websites and make it easier to rank for those 2 or 3 word phrases.
How do we offer value to the visitor?
If we are passionate about a topic we will put more effort in the creation of our website and be able to offer much more value to the visitor. We will have more basic knowledge about the topic. This will make it easier for us to create content to publish on our website. Very often when your theme has something to do with your hobby or your job you will be able to write enough unique content with the knowledge you already have about the subject.

To know that we will have to find out what Google expects from an Adsense publisher. Google wants you to deliver a complete website that offers information that is relevant to what the searcher asks for in the search-box on the page of the search-engine.
Google gives more value to a website that offers unique and fresh content. Content that is not written by a software application, but that reads like a human has written it.

Statistics have shown the blue link, black text, and light grey URL (www.google.com) link convert the best. The horizontal ad toward the top, center of the page, looking like it is part of your page also converts to people viewing it and clicking on it most.
Critical point - you must spend time placing new, fresh, unique articles on your web site or BLOG at a minimum of two times per week. Do not use
articles more than once.
AdWords Strategy
Google AdWords are the ads you see at the very top (light blue portion) of the search engines on Google and their partners search engines; i.e., Ask.com, iWon.com. This includes the right-hand side text ads you see when you type in a search query like, “used cars san diego.” Whenever you see Sponsored Links and you click on those ads, companies are paying for it. Sometimes the cost is outrageous, but depends on many factors.
There are also banner ads, image ads, and video ads, but we are going to focus our discussion on the text ads which is most widely used.
Google AdWords accounts are set up for web site owners who want a lot more traffic because 1) their own site is not search engine optimized well for free (organic) traffic, or 2) they are smart and want to use a different avenue of media (form of advertising) on the Internet to capture more business. Every web site cannot attain organic (free) traffic rankings for every single keyword. So using AdWords for the other targeted words people use to search for will grab the rest of the market.
Be forewarned, there are many new companies popping up on the Internet who say they “specialize” in setting you up with a “highly optimized” account, and all you get is a list of many keywords that give you a lot of clicks at high prices, but no conversions (sales).
